As I read about the impending snowmageddon descending on my native New England, I came across a directive from Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick effectively making it illegal to drive in that state past 4:00 p.m. today. The text of the executive order below, with an interesting way to date a state document in bold:
I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, pursuant to the power provided by Chapter 639 of the Acts of 1950 do hereby issue the following order:
There shall be a ban on motor vehicle travel beginning at 4:00 PM today and continuing until further notice. This travel ban shall not apply to the following: public safety vehicles and public safety workers, including contract personnel, public works vehicles and public works workers, including contract personnel; government officials conducting official business, utility company vehicles and utility workers; healthcare workers who must travel to and from work in order to provide essential health services; news media, travel necessary to maintain and deliver critical private sector services such as energy, fuel supplies and delivery, financial systems and the delivery of critical commodities, travel to support business operations that provide critical services to the public, including gasoline stations, food stores and hardware stores. Given this 8th day of February in the year of our Lord two thousand and thirteen at 12:15PM.

I think this is standard wording for declarations in many states. We would need less of these if the liberal states, in particular, turned back to GOD and HIS laws.

Sadly entirely cultural and devoid of any meaning, though…. Obama uses that wording as well in his executive declarations like this.

Governor cuomo did not ban cars because he wanted people to be able to get home. As a result 100s of people were stranded in their vehicles. Police and emergency vehicles could not do anything. Read the NY times article in todays news. What this official did was very prudent and wise. And saved many people needless suffering. This is reflective of the wisdom of God!

Thr current snow storm was predicted by a visionary in Nov.2012, but the estimates of feet of snow given by the Lord was much higher. There are many visionaries now receiving messages about impending calamities as God has said He is now withdrawing His hand of protection because of ungodly laws.
